The Mustang was placed on a photo-set of black velvet, which really absorbs most light and makes for a very dark black background. 3 Feb 2010 | 6:24 amOne of my favorite casting to come out of the 70’s era release has to be the Peeping Bomb which was designed by Howard Rees. I love it’s off the wall concept. The features that stand out are its pointed nose and a high side profile which gives it great suspension travel for racing. The next unique characteristics that stand out are it’s open cockpit, the large, exposed quad piped V-8 engine and that snubbed-off rear profile with high humped quarter panels. The Allardette Anglia is a 1964 version with a race-tuned 1500cc engine. It took two years and £30k to be built by owner/driver Martin Fox. In 1955, the 190SL was priced at $3,998, a bit less than half the cost of a 300SL. It was promoted as a sports-touring car as opposed to a true sports car primarily due to limited power. 1 Feb 2010 | 8:20 pmYou may have noticed the lack of posts around here lately. That’s partly due to the lack of new Cars showing up after the first of the year. The other part of it is due to my lack of enthusiasm for the direction that Mattel is taking the Cars line. To be fair, Cars diecast have been going strong since 2006. Mattel has produced some great toys, not to mention every major Cars character and most of the minor ones! But 3 years is a long time, and the line is obviously losing steam. To try and combat this, Mattel is doing 2 things, lenticular Cars (Look My Eyes Change) and Cars Toon Cars. -

Final Lap Case C, Pit Crew Sarge, Muddy McQueen and Costanzo Out Now

New Cars in case C are Pit Crew Sarge, Muddy McQueen and Costanzo Della Corsa. Pit Crew Sarge is another one of those Cars promised a long time ago. His production was delayed by the lead paint recall Sarge of course. Muddy McQueen and Costanzo Della Corsa have also been promised for a long time, having first been seen at Comic Con 2008. Anyway, case C should be showing up at a Target near you, real soon. Here are some pics. -
